CSFF Blog Tour and the Secret of the Shadow...

I mentioned in passing the other day that you can read the whole of Hunter Brown and the Secret of the Shadow at codebearers.com, should you feel that way inclined.

Since I don't own a copy, I spent a few minutes having a little mooch around the first few pages, and it certainly seems like a fun read.

But what's caught my attention, and deserves a little more exploration than I have time for right now, is the... myth? legend?... of the Author, the 'mysterious, unseen writer of worlds'. I probably didn't need to say that, there's enough writers on the tour that know exactly how cool it is that someone has actually put that into words (and simultaneously, how annoying it is that it wasn't them... sigh). But maybe I'll explore that later.

For now, I just have time to say, go and take a look at the book on the Miller Brothers website. What have you got to lose? And if you're unsure, go visit some fellow tourists (links in the previous post) and see what they think.

Steve, this is a strong endorsement, coming from a sci fi guy!

I loved the Author allegory, too. The Brothers used it especially effectively, I thought, in the end of the book.

It is? Oh dear. I assure you that any resemblance to an endorsement, strong or otherwise, is purely coincidental.
